LEGAL SUPPORT BUILT FOR THE TRADES
TRADEWISE LEGAL
A Simplified Process From Start to Finish
TradeWise Legal was built for Texas plumbing businesses like yours, and our onboarding looks very different from that of a typical law firm. There’s no lengthy or expensive consultation required before you know what you need, no guessing about which documents you’ll receive, and no confusion about what happens after you submit your request.
This page will walk you through exactly how TradeWise Legal works: how to choose the right starting point, what you’ll receive, what we need from you, and what happens after you click submit.
WHAT YOU'LL GET
This standard applies whether you're purchasing a full package or a single document. A standalone independent contractor agreement comes with the same level of clear, usable instruction as a document inside a larger package; you're never left with a legal document and no idea what to do with it.
The completed document or filing, prepared for your business
Step-by-step instructions for using or submitting it correctly.
Any relevant deadline or timing guidance tied to that document.
A consultation call, if one is included with your package.
Access to follow-up questions through Monthly Support if you’re enrolled.
All documents and legal services are prepared or handled by an experienced attorney.
READY-TO-USE DOCUMENTS DELIVERED DIRECTLY TO YOU

Every TradeWise Legal package and à la carte document is designed to be usable right away. Each document or filing is prepared for your situation and comes with plain-language instructions explaining exactly how and when to use it. When additional guidance is included, you’ll also have support from an attorney to help clarify any questions.
CHOOSE YOUR ISSUE.
Most clients come to TradeWise with one specific problem they need solved first, even if additional legal needs come up over time. Rather than asking you to figure out which legal category your issue falls into, intake is built around the most common situations Texas plumbing business owners encounter.
COMMON BUSINESS CHALLENGES WE SEE
An unpaid invoice or customer who won't pay
Messy, missing, or outdated contracts and paperwork
A name, logo, or brand you want to protect
Questions about ownership, succession, or what happens if you can't run the business
Hiring questions, website legal compliance, document reviews, and more
If you're not sure which option is right for you, that's normal and not something you need to resolve on your own before reaching out to us. Simply submit a request with a short description of what's going on; that's enough for TradeWise to point you to the right package or document.
What Happens After You Submit Your Request
WE REVIEW YOUR REQUEST
Once we receive your request, TradeWise Legal reviews your details to confirm that the correct package or document fits the situation and to flag anything else that might be needed based on what you’ve told us. If your package includes a consultation call, that’s scheduled first, so anything specific to your business can be addressed before documents are drafted.
WE PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTS
Next, your documents are prepared. Turnaround time depends on the complexity of the request. À la carte documents and smaller packages generally have a faster turnaround than packages involving multiple documents or a filing process, such as trademark applications or succession plans, which take longer due to the searches, reviews, or drafting involved.
WE DELIVER YOUR DOCUMENTS AND HANDLE FOLLOW-UP
Once ready, your documents are delivered by email along with clear instructions for how to use them. Any deadline-sensitive items are flagged so nothing gets missed. If something requires clarification or correction after delivery, follow-up is part of our process. We’ll make sure you understand your documents and address any necessary adjustments related to your original request.
A FEW DETAILS.
THAT'S IT.
Getting started is quick and easy, with no lengthy intake required. In order to prepare your documents accurately, TradeWise needs a short description of your issue or situation, basic business information (business name, entity type, and state of formation), and any relevant details specific to the request, such as the unpaid amount and customer information for a collections matter, or the property address and job details for a lien filing.
WHEN EXTRA INFO HELPS
For some packages, providing additional information will speed things up. A trademark filing can benefit from knowing the exact name, logo, or tagline you want protected, and the date you first used it in business. With a succession or estate planning package, it’s helpful to know your ownership structure and any family or partner considerations up front, since that determines which documents apply to your situation.

QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR PROCESS
01
This is based on your particular situation. Most issues map clearly to a specific package or document (unpaid invoices to the Collections Suite, messy contracts to Business Essentials, and so on). If something doesn't fit neatly, connect with us to discuss which documents will best address your business needs.
02
We’ll need basic details like a short description of the issue, your business name and entity type, and any details specific to the situation, such as amounts owed, property information for a lien matter, or the name or logo you want to protect for a trademark filing.
03
It depends on the request. Often none are required to get started, but if you have something relevant, like an existing contract, an unpaid invoice, or correspondence related to a dispute, sending it along speeds up the process and helps make sure the documents prepared for you reflect your actual situation.
04
Completed documents are delivered by email, along with instructions for how to use them and any relevant deadline information.
05
It varies by request. Simpler, single documents are generally turned around faster than full packages or filings that involve research, search, or drafting work, such as trademark applications or succession plans. You'll get a clearer timeline once your specific request is reviewed.
06
Yes. If your package includes a consultation call, that's the most direct way to ask questions about your specific documents. If you're enrolled in the Monthly Support Subscription, you also have ongoing access for quick follow-up questions beyond your original request.
07
If something in a delivered document needs to be corrected or adjusted, whether a detail was inaccurate or your situation has changed, follow-up is handled as part of the original request rather than treated as a new, separate purchase.
08
Yes. Lien and collections matters are often time-sensitive due to strict filing deadlines, so requests involving an active deadline are prioritized accordingly. Flagging the urgency when you submit your request helps us prioritize it appropriately.
09
Yes. Many clients start with a single document or package to solve the most pressing issue, then come back for additional documents or a different package as new needs come up. There's no requirement to resolve everything in one request.
